Medical Science Liaison at Dexcom that works with the strategic account teams to present the clinical and economic value proposition of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) as a medical point of contact for value-based decision makers.  Roy has worked as a practicing pharmacist, managed care clinical pharmacist and as an outcomes liaison in the pharmaceutical industry.  As a managed care clinical pharmacist, Roy worked closely with case, disease and utilization managers to help close gaps in care and lower the overall cost of care for members who are utilizing the emergency room and being admitted to the hospital.


1. Discuss the FDA approved indications for use of the various CGM devices and the fundamental aspects of CGM technology.

2. Review the FDA approved CGM devices currently available in the US, features of each system, product comparisions and how CGM features can be used to improve patients' glycemic control.

3. Describe the benefits of CGM as it pertains to certain clinical criteria and how real-time data can help improve glucose control.

4. Review the accuracy data for each of the two non-adjunctive CGM systems currently available.

5. Identify the various clinical studies that demonstrate the clinical outcomes and improvement in glycemic control with the use of CGM.
